Dalton, GA (March 10, 2005) - The Carpet and Rug
Institute (CRI) has launched its new website as part of the trade association's
new, enhanced identity, in an on-going effort to make CRI an even more valuable
and meaningful resource for its many audiences.
The new website design can be found at www.carpet-rug.org
and provides a more user- friendly format which will better serve all
of soft floorcovering's many customers. The re-design is part of CRI's
continuing effort to rollout the organization's new image and better reflect
CRI's standing as an innovative, environmentally-responsible and science-
based organization, dedicated to better serving the interests of its members
and their customers.
"The CRI website is one of the industry's most powerful tools, a
one-stop destination for information about carpet and rugs. This website
attracts thousands of visits each day. For many, it is the face of CRI
and in this spirit, we have created a fresh, contemporary, and user-friendly
site that builds on the equity of our work and success in reaching out
to those who want to learn more about soft floorcoverings," said
CRI President Werner Braun in announcing the new website.
The launch is the latest addition to the significant enhancement of the
CRI organizational identity. The site includes all of CRI's new logo designs
and emphasizes CRI's overriding message platform that the Institute is
the source for science-based information and insight into how carpet and
rugs can create a better environment - for living, working, learning and
healing.
Science-based research and insight are at the heart of what CRI provides
professionals and the public to help them understand and decide about
carpet, rugs and related issues. In addition, CRI leads in the best practice
of sustainability by advancing innovations and solutions that are consistent
with long-term social, environmental and economic responsibility. CRI
is committed to addressing the needs of its members' customers to help
create a better environment. The trade organization works to strengthen
the role of carpet in every day life by building consensus among diverse
parties within the industry. It aims for an open dialogue with educational,
health, and environmental stakeholders and community decision makers about
qualities of the industry and the product category itself.
"Our innovative programs have improved our industry's reputation,
the health and well-being of our customers, and the sustainability of
the environment. So it is only natural that CRI has also effectively improved
its own identity and communication tools-thus creating even more value
for its members," said Mr. Braun.
The new website is divided into three distinct sections: Consumer Resources,
Professional Resources, and Initiatives and Affiliations. Visitors to
the site can find a plethora of information ranging from cleaning and
maintenance tips, upcoming events, and industry news to products certified
under one of CRI's many signature programs.
