In This Issue: Plans for Chinese Visit Progress Discussions between CRI, member company representatives, and the US Department
of Commerce (USDOC) continue in an effort to bring a yet-to-be-named Chinese
delegation to the Northwest Georgia area. The delegation will likely be comprised
of architects, designers, and/or specifiers who have been approved by CRI and
have confirmed that they have authority and decision making ability within their
Chinese companies or agencies. The delegation will most probably have interests
in the construction activities surrounding the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2010
World's Fair. Contact John Miller at 706.428.2109. Secretary Evans Acknowledges Letter CRI has received a copy of a letter from U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary
Donald L. Evans acknowledging a previous letter to Secretary Evans from members
of the Georgia Congressional delegation concerning intellectual property issues
in China and India. This letter expresses the Secretary's concern about these
issues and explains how they are being addressed. To view the letter, click

which identifies carpets that meet, and even exceed, California's indoor environmental
quality standards used by the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS),
manufacturers have been working to have their products listed on the approved
products list. The CHPS website has a Green Label Plus link, which lists manufacturers
and carpet products that have been tested and meet the CHPS Low-Emitting Materials
Credit 2 criteria -- Section 01350 -- for use in a typical classroom. CRI's
Green Label Plus product listing is consistent with the "09680 Carpet"
section of the CHPS Compliant Materials Table on the CHPS website. To submit
products for Green Label Plus certification, contact the CRI Technical Department
at 706-428-2106. View list of Green Label Plus Approved Carpet Products Braun Presents at NeoConCRI President Werner Braun was one of the featured presenters at this year's
just-completed NeoCon show at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Aside from taking

from a capacity and inquisitive crowd of architects, designers and specifiers
attending the event. Flooring B2B Standard Committee to Meet in JuneThe
